Biography
24-year-old Sabrina Redman is a singer-songwriter and artist based in Seattle, Washington. She grew up with a love for both art and music and couldn’t pick just one. On her Etsy shop, you can find a variety of her artistic creations from clay pins, to earrings, to paintings. You can also find her songs across all music platforms including iTunes, Apple Music, and Spotify.
Sabrina’s musical influences vary from artists like Taylor Swift to Billie Eilish. For her, it’s about more than just lyrics or a great hook. She admires Swift for her standout lyrics and ability to make the listeners feel, while adoring Eilish’s unique production style. Sabrina’s music blends meticulously crafted lyrics with masterful production in order to create music that, despite having clear country influences, appeals to a wide audience, rather than one singular genre.
In 2013, Sabrina got the opportunity to work with producer/engineer Zach Allen (Taylor Swift, Toby Keith, etc.) at The Tracking Room studio in Nashville, TN. The studio band was comprised of many talented musicians from all over Nashville, including Buddy Hyatt (from TOTO) on keys. When the day came to an end, Sabrina hadn’t yet recorded vocals and wasn’t able to return the next day due to a scheduled flight home. However, Buddy allowed her and Zach Allen to come to his home studio that night to record vocals and finish up the track! A few years later, she was able to move to Nashville to attend Lipscomb University as a student of its brand new Contemporary Music program. Though she had to move home after a year, it was an experience she’s truly grateful for. Sabrina took the heartache that came along with leaving her dream program and used it to fuel her songwriting. Two years later, she found herself back in Nashville. This time, she teamed up with producer Daniel Dennis at Prime Cut Studio, and began recording her debut EP.
Sabrina’s debut EP “Risk” documents her struggles through some of the best and worst years of her life. While the title track “Risk” discusses the intimidation that comes along with moving to a new city and not quite knowing where you belong, songs like “Still I Stand” touch on the heartbreak that comes along with finally finding your place, and then losing it. Her goal through all of her creations, whether it be art or music, has always been to touch and connect with people.
